Microsoft will soon unveil the second-generation Surface tablet, including an update for the Pro model, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that the company is planning to ignore the existing version.

In a somewhat self-bragging video, Microsoft now claims that the Surface Pro is the right device for basically all types of users, including cinematographers, technophiles, and video creators, no matter where they are.

The company thus showcases the story of Chayse Irvin, the man behind Cinematique, a company that creates short films such as Soak.

“Chayse is using Surface Pro to get more done on the go. It allows him to maintain his busy schedule, relying on Surface during the scouting process to take pictures of potential locations, to look up production notes while on set and to communicate his vision for scenes to the crew by pulling up images and videos as references,” the Surface Team said.

Leaving all these praises aside, the second-generation Surface Pro is expected to bring even better performance, with existing rumors pointing to an Intel i5 chip backed by 8 GB of RAM and a two-position kickstand for better productivity in both landscape and portrait mode.
