Microsoft has always described Cortana as the most personal digital assistant you could ever get, but it turns out that it can actually get even more personal thanks to a feature developed by Lenovo.

As we reported to you yesterday, the Chinese at Lenovo developed a feature called REACHit that comes as an extension to Cortana and provides additional functionality to this digital assistant.

With its help, Cortana gets a lot smarter and keeps track of your work, your locations, and whom you're talking to using your laptop, tablet, or PC so it can provide relevant answers whenever you need to find something.

The video after the jump is the first official demonstration of REACHit and Cortana working together on Windows 10, and as Lenovo says, it's the best you can get right now on a PC, laptop, or tablet in terms of digital assistants.

“With REACHit, Cortana is even smarter on your Lenovo device. REACHit connects the cloud, email services and multiple devices all in one place, and it helps you keep track of when, were and who you show content. So you can ask Cortana questions like ‘Hey Cortana, where are the photos I showed Tim last week?’ and you'll see all the best from any storage location connect to REACHit,” Lenovo says.

Privacy? What's that?

If you're one of those users who really care about their privacy, there might be an issue because REACHit and Cortana basically invade your privacy and track your every single move to be able to provide you with answers when you need them.

If you're okay with that, then you can take them for a spin, but otherwise, using a digital assistant might just not be for you. REACHit uses cloud power to transfer information collected about you, and that might freak out some people, despite the obvious security measures that are being employed to make sure all your data is protected.

Either way, if you want to give them a try, REACHit will become available later this year, most likely when Windows 10 gets the go-ahead and the new Lenovo products running it hit the shelves.
