Watch: Hipster Disney Princesses, the Ironic Musical

Snow White, Ariel, Cinderella, and Belle return in this Disney-style musical about how it feels to be a hipster and what that entails.

This video was uploaded by Avbyte two days ago, and already has 80,000 views. Starring in it are Elizabeth Oldak (Belle), Tiger Darrow (Snow White), Molly Gallagher (Ariel) and Tanja Nagler (Cinderella). The clip was shot in New York City, home of the hipster.

“When the world just seems too mainstream […] Just embrace your inner irony, Your true identity,” the lyrics read, mocking pseudointellectuals everywhere.

Going to poetry readings (and blogging about it), wearing large glasses they sometimes don't need, being ironical, eating organic food, knowing every possible social networking website, are just some of the obsessions of the Hipster Disney Princess.

“They’re so unique, that they’re all the same!,” the princesses proclaim.
