The promotional efforts for the upcoming Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception on the Japanese market include video clips of Harrison Ford, the well known Hollywood leading man, playing the game with a rather pained look on his face.

The 30 second and 15 second television spots focus on the actor's face as he tries to get main characters Drake out of a particularly dicey situation.

The actor was probably chosen for the ads because in many ways Drake resembles the early incarnations of Indiana Jones, with a little more humor and rebellion.

The long video embedded below also shows Ford playing Uncharted 3 and talking about the game while he does, saying that it offers visual storytelling and muttering praises like “fantastic” and “incredible”.

The game follows Drake as he explores the Arabian desert in order to find a hidden treasure and gets entangled with a secret society.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on November 1.
