This is because P&G is guilty of contributing to the destruction of rainforests

Before you click the “Play” button for the video above, I suggest you make sure your house is free of all traces of Head & Shoulders and other products that are made by Procter & Gamble and whose label says that they contain palm oil.

Unless you want to feel really bad about buying and using things made by a company that is guilty of contributing to rainforest destruction in Indonesia and bringing tigers and orangutans closer to extinction, that is.

The video above was released by Greenpeace just yesterday, and is part and parcel of the organization's latest anti-palm oil campaign.

Apart from the fact that it serves as a reminder of the fact that Procter & Gamble has a long way to go until it can claim to be an environmentally friendly company, the video includes footage of a recent Greenpeace protest in Cincinnati, US.

As reported, it was on March 5 that nine activists with this organization rappelled down Procter & Gamble's headquarters in said city and hung banners demanding that the company quit working with palm oil suppliers that destroy rainforests.

One of these activists was dressed as a tiger, and carried a banner asking the company to protect its home in Indonesia.

Given the fact that Procter & Gamble seems determined not to let Greenpeace change its business agenda, it is likely that other similar protests follow in the days to come.
