Shocking footage shows a large great white shark sinking its razor-sharp teeth into a much smaller opponent

There's a new viral video in town, and I for one have to admit that I have never seen anything like it before. The footage, available below, shows two great white sharks battling one another.

The video was shot in Australian waters not too long ago by 33-year-old Adam Malski, a diver who chanced to witness the fight while exploring local seascapes.

Of the two great white sharks featured in this footage, the attacker is said to have measured about 16 feet (about 4.8 meters) in length. The smaller one was merely half its size.

It is understood that, just as the smaller shark was busy circling the bait floating not far from Adam Malski's boat, the bigger one, named Gilbert, jumped out of the water and attacked it.

The little fellow put up quite a fight, but apparently, lost this battle. Thus, Huffingon Post tells us that, following this very close encounter with Gilbert, it was never seen again.

“The larger animal survived the encounter but the smaller shark has not been sighted since,” the video's description on YouTube reads.

Wildlife researchers say that, although it's not that often that us humans get to witness great white sharks fighting one another, the truth is that these marine predators do not shy away from cannibalism.
