Most people (myself included) would be scared senseless to come this close to a great white shark, not to mention touch its dorsal fin and hold on to it while the animal takes them for a ride.

However, it appears that freediver Kimi Werner has absolutely no issues doing either of the above.

In fact, the shark featured in the video above appears to behave more like a dolphin and less like the fierce predator almost everybody assumes that it is.

According to Daily Mail, Kimi Werner is native to the island of Maui in Hawaii.

Her swimming together with great white sharks and catching such encounters on camera is part and parcel of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the need to protect both these animals and their natural habitats.

“Hopefully this video can show how beautiful the environment and ecosystem are along with our place as humans,” Kimi reportedly said.
