Should you once find yourself in a situation where you absolutely must shut somebody up, be it for your or for others' peace of mind, here is one really quick way to do it: show this somebody the video above.

The footage made it online this past June 2, when it was posted on the GoPro YouTube channel. It documents the wonders of ice caves in Alaska, and I for one have to admit that I find it absolutely stunning.

Truth be told, I must admit that this video had such an effect on me that I had to take a minute to compose myself before actually writing this blog. I can only hope it will have the same effect on you.

As detailed in the video's description on YouTube, the ice caves featured in this video are part and parcel of the Mendenhall Glacier in southeast Alaska.

This block of ice measures about 12 miles (19 kilometers) in length, and it is located in the Mendenhall Valley. Together with its surroundings, it forms the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area.

Specialists say that, together with other glaciers scattered around the world, the Mendenhall Glacier has high chances to recede to a considerable extent as a result of climate change and global warming.
