While fishing off the coast of Port Charlotte in Florida, US, a family chanced to reel in a stingray. At first, the fishing enthusiasts considered using it as bait. However, they soon changed their mind.

As noticeable in the video below, the stingray that the Conger family caught in these waters was not only pregnant, but also busy giving birth to its offspring at the time when it got pulled out of the ocean.

Instead of just throwing it back in the water and let it deal with the delivery all on its own, the Conger family decided to lend the stingray a helping hand. Thus, they helped it give birth to its babies.

The marine creature was pregnant with twins, whose Tails can be seen sticking out of its body towards the beginning of the video. All it took for the baby stingray to be born was one gentle push.

Having helped deliver the two teeny tiny marine dwellers, the Conger family released them in the water. What's more, they also freed their mother, which, as mentioned, was initially intended to become fish bait.

“It like flopped right out. It was weird. It makes me want to go fishing more. You just see the weirdest things, and it was an awesome moment,” Calvin Conger's girlfriend, who accompanied the family on this trip, said in a statement.
