“RoboCop” is getting the remake treatment as we speak. In between official word that it’s been pushed back half a year and much talk about how lame his new outfit is, the first video of the super cop in action has emerged online. Check it out in full above.
Obviously, it’s a fan-made video, shot in Toronto, where “RoboCop” is on location. It shows RoboCop (Joel Kinnaman)
in full suit, riding a matching motorcycle.
It’s not much, but it’s enough for many fans of the original films to say that what “RoboCop” needed wasn’t the Batman spirit. The similarities in the suit are simply too much for them and, more importantly, not in accordance to the original character.
“RoboCop” also stars Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley and Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and will be out in February 2014.
