A new gameplay video has emerged from Tokyo Game Show, showing in-game footage from Square Enix's upcoming HD remake of Final Fantasy Type-0.

The game is the remastered port of the original PSP game, considered one of the best entries in the Final Fantasy franchise, and the visual overhaul looks properly insane.

The remaster was announced earlier this year, in June, at E3, and we can now get a better look at the way the game plays, courtesy of the direct feed gameplay footage from this year's edition of TGS.

The role-playing game is set within the Final Fantasy XIII universe, part of the six-chapter Fabula Nova Cristallis mini-series, but Square Enix toned down the references to the FFXIII games after the less than stellar reception of the games, rebranding the title to Type-0 from the original Agito XIII.

Players take direct control of characters, guiding them in real-time combat and being able to switch between the currently active ones on the fly. The HD remaster will also include an easier difficulty level, enabling more casual players to experience the story.

The game is headed out in March of 2015, making its way to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 home consoles. Buying the game will net you access to the upcoming demo of Final Fantasy XV, offering you the chance to experience three to four hours' worth of content.
