Steve Backshall allows the snake to coil around its neck, narrates the experience

The video above is part and parcel of BBC's Deadly 60 series, and shows one daredevil purposely placing a boa constrictor around his neck and letting it do its best in trying to strangle him.

By the looks of it, Steve Backshall's decision to submit himself to this experience while others are busy catching it all on camera has everything to do with his wishing to show the general public how it is that boa constrictors behave when they set their minds on killing something (or someone, in this particular case).

Though I am all in favor of videos describing the behavior of various animal species, since this is the best way to draw attention to the planet's biodiversity, I have to say that Steve Backshall's wrapping this snake around its head is nutty, to say the least.

“I kinda feel sorry for the snake. That guy's like, ‘Come on, snake, choke me,’ but then he's like 'Nah, get off now,” one viewer commented on this video.
