14 DAY TRIAL // Episode 7 of 2020, Trend Micro’s web series, has been released. It is 7 minutes long and it’s entitled “Keep it Offline.”
It shows how an attack on “The Switch” has made it impossible for people to travel because airports are paralyzed. Furthermore, the cyberattack has been so devastating that people are even returning to paper money and documents.
The operators of The Switch are trying to restore systems, but they don’t know which backup versions are compromised.
In episode 7, the man who developed the malware that was used to attack The Switch is taken into custody. In the meantime, the girl set up to take the fall for the entire cybercriminal operation is released.
Authorities accuse the malware developer of being a terrorist because people died. However, he claims he’s a hacktivist and that he only wanted to restore fundamental liberties.
