A teacher's rule to answer the phone on speaker has come back to haunt him

A professor at Aquinas College in Michigan, US, established a strict rule in classroom: if a student’s cell rings during class hours, they must answer the phone on speaker for all to hear the conversation.

A little annoyed by his policy, some students planned to get revenge by pulling a prank on him on the most appropriate day of the year – April Fools’ Day. They arranged to have one girl be called by a friend during class, pretending to be from a so-called pregnancy clinic. The alleged purpose of the call is to inform the student that she’s pregnant.

You can see in the video that the caller tells the student her pregnancy test came back positive. When hearing the news, the teacher is literally puzzled and quickly asks the girl to end the phone call.

Well, it seems that the teacher’s rule has somehow come back to haunt him. He is obviously embarrassed and the look on his face tells it all. He’s trying to apologize and hides his face in shame.

Although the girl’s classmates are aware of the prank, they all pretend to be surprised, and continue with their roleplay.

At the end, the “pregnant” student exposes the joke by saying, “It's ok, I've been expecting this and I already know what I'm going to name the baby. Her first name will be April and her middle name... Fools.”

The class explodes with laughter, and the teacher suddenly realizes he has been pranked. He starts laughing with the rest of the class showing his relief.

“Bonus points! That was awesome! I will treasure that,” said the professor after learning it was all a joke.
