The video shows a 41-year-old elephant named Mila coming face to face with another pachyderm of its kind for the first time in 37 years.
The two hit it off right away, and start rubbing trunks as if they have known each other since forever.
According to Huffington Post, Mila spend almost 4 decades in solitude because, after it was parted with its family in Namibia, it more-or-less willingly became a circus performer and thus lost all contact with others of its kind.
The elephant was retired a few years ago, and arrived at the San Diego Zoo in the United States back in 2013.
Once the quarantine period was over, the elephant was introduced with the matriarch of the herd currently living at this facility.
In time, the elephant is to meet the rest of the herd, and will hopefully become a part of it.
