The inevitable has happened, as a video comparison of the visuals between the PS4 and Xbox One editions of Watch Dogs has appeared, showing slight differences in terms of character models, brightness, and shadows.

Watch Dogs launches worldwide on May 27, but in the last week or so a huge amount of leaks with gameplay footage, details, or screenshots has appeared on the web, thanks to copies of the game that were sold early by some retailers to different customers.

Now, YouTube user Jason Knothe has gotten his hands on copies of the game for PS4 and Xbox One and made a special video comparison to show the distinctions between the two editions of Watch Dogs.

As you can see in the video below, when viewed at 1080p, there are some differences between the two platforms.

Watch Dogs on PS4 has better shadows and less artificial brightness added to the cut scenes, while the character models look a bit sharper than on the Xbox One, which adds more brightness filters and suffers from aliasing.

Don't forget that Watch Dogs on PS4 runs at a native resolution of 900p and a 30fps framerate, while on the Xbox One it runs at 792p and 30fps.
