Ubisoft Montreal's upcoming open world action adventure with a flair of budding cyberpunk video game Watch Dogs has finally received the official minimum PC requirements, letting players know in advance whether an upgrade is in order.

Although some specs were listed on the publisher's website as early as last October, the official stance was that they are purely tentative and in no way represent the actual definitive requirements for the upcoming game.

The latest info was made public via Watch Dogs Creative Director Jonathan Morin's Twitter, listing the configuration the development team deemed as the minimum requirement to enjoy their game.

The listed minimum specs were the following: Processor: IntelCore 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz or AMDPhenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz Memory: 6GB RAM Video Card: 1024 VRAM DirectX 11 Shader 5.0 Sound Card: DirectX9 Hard Drive: 25 GB

The recommended PC specifications were not supplied though, and it will certainly be interesting to see what Ubisoft considers the best specs for enjoying the upcoming game on PC, given its lauded visuals on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Watch Dogs is coming out on May 27 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC, and the Wii U version will follow at a later undisclosed date.
