Jamie Keen, the leading designer working on the upcoming Watch Dogs, has left Ubisoft in order to join up with rival Electronic Arts, working on a new Need for Speed video game at its Gothenburg studios.

According to his official LinkedIn profile, Keen is now a gameplay producer at Electronic Arts, and it seems that the switch took place sometime in late February.

Watch Dogs has impressed industry watchers in the last few weeks, especially after it was one of the first titles demoed on the PlayStation 4 during the Sony New York reveal event.

Ubisoft has not offered any comment on the developer’s departure or on how it might impact the development process of Watch Dogs.

Speculation suggests that the Need for Speed video game created by Electronic Arts in Gothenburg will be launched on the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox 720 from Microsoft.
