The development team at Ubisoft working on Watch Dogs is delivering the launch trailer for the upcoming title, which is set to reach players worldwide on May 27 and can be played on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the PC and current-gen consoles.

The footage mixes descriptions of the title coming from a variety of gaming sites with a voice-over from the main character and quick shots of the game mechanics and world.

The company states, "You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker who saw something no one was meant to see. His enemies came for him, but killed a family member instead. Now on the hunt for those responsible, you'll be able to monitor and hack all who surround you by manipulating everything connected to the city's network."

Chicago looks interesting as a city, but even the quick cuts included in the launch trailer cannot disguise the lack of detail on some of the textures and the models featured.

Watch Dogs was delayed by the development team at Ubisoft in order to improve its overall quality.

A Wii U version is set to be launched later during the year.
