Ubisoft is finally releasing a patch for its action adventure hit Watch Dogs, meant to address some of the more glaring issues that have been reported by the user base.

While the game most probably still won't look as rad as it did during its initial reveal at E3 2013, it's still good to see Ubisoft making some moves in the right direction.

The patch is coming "soon," and it will be released for all platforms, meaning the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

The updates will drop in a staggered fashion, with the PlayStation 4 leading the charge, getting it in the next couple of hours, followed by the PlayStation 3 version later on.

Next in line is the patch for the PC version of Watch Dogs, expected sometime during the next days, with the Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions getting it in around a week.

The update will deliver a bunch of fixes, including some major ones, addressing the corrupted save files which did not allow loading to go further than 90 percent. The company has warned that some collectibles may remain unrecoverable, but at least you won't lose your progress.

In addition to this, another major game fix is repairing the issue that prevented players from using hacks while playing.

Furthermore, the developers have also fixed several mission-breaking bugs and other minor mission- and item-related glitches, including the one that caused the empty weapon wheel.

The multiplayer component has also gotten some attention, with several minor respawn issues corrected, as well as some connection and session joining ones.

The list of fixes specific to the PC platform is, as expected, the most extensive, as Ubisoft was accused of releasing a sub-par version on the platform, plagued by many glitches that marred many players' experience with the title.

The PC specific fixes include some graphical glitches on low & medium settings, as well as some crashes on SLI configurations, other graphical issues during cutscenes and cinematics and several texture bugs.

Furthermore, Ubisoft has also implemented several performance and control improvements, fixed some bugs related to mini-games, added the game version in the main menu, and removed the Vista OS check in order to prevent false positives.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft has not yet offered any official comments regarding the allegations that it gimped the visual details of the PC edition on purpose, in order to make it more in line with the console version.
