14 DAY TRIAL // Watch Dogs may not perform that well when it comes to story missions and some of the side quests or activities, but one area where the game really delivers is the online hacking one, in which players can infiltrate another person's virtual world and hack him or her to gain notoriety.
This whole experience is a lot of fun, largely because you know you're dealing with another human player on the other end of the experience.
Even so, you might want to use a bit of strategy before initiating the hack, so that you can maximize the odds of getting to 100% completion.
First up, after you infiltrate the other player's world, don’t initialize the hack immediately. Instead, walk around his general area; try to find things that will help you in the hack or cover that will keep you safe from detection. You have around 60 seconds to initiate the hacking, so take your time and try to act just like the non-playable characters roaming the streets of the virtual Chicago.
Once you do start the hack, get as far as possible from the target and whatever you do, don't stick around and try to act as an NPC alone. The other player, if he has at least some game sense, will start profiling everyone around him. If you can't get away, at least go into groups of NPCs, so that it's less likely for the finicky targeting of the profiler to lock onto you.
Try to use a parked car to hide yourself in or other spots that are tricky to find. If the area has easy to access roofs, go on top of one to get a better view. If there are cameras, hide in the area and hack a camera, so that the other player can't access it.
If you try to drive around, remember to act as an NPC, which means obeying traffic lights, not causing accidents, and other such things.
Worst case scenario, you can cause distractions by hacking traffic lights or blowing up Steam pipes, in order to cause havoc for the NPCs and mess with the head of the target player.
If you really want to ensure the hack goes through, consider using the blackout exploits in order to wreak even more havoc and force the target to get even closer to you if he wants to detect you.
Bear in mind that the reverse is also true, as the target can start to cause distractions around him or even shoot his weapon, so be prepared to act like the other NPCs around you.
