There's no stopping system for the game on PCs with less than the minimum 6GB of RAM

Watch Dogs on the PC will be able to run on systems with 4GB of RAM, according to a new statement from its Creative Director, Jonathan Morin, but expect a lot of lag, as the game will not play as intended.

Watch Dogs is set to launch next week across many platforms including the PC, for which the minimum requirements specify a 6GB amount of RAM.

Ubisoft's Jonathan Morin even revealed a few days ago that the game won't even start if players have less than 6GB, presumably confirming a hardware check like the one seen in Call of Duty: Ghosts for PC.

Now, Morin has revealed on Twitter that, while 4GB of RAM is lower than the minimum specification, the game will start, meaning there's no system in place to stop it from running.

However, expect lag when it starts reading from the hard drive in order to load textures, data, and other such things.

Morin also specified that Watch Dogs on new consoles like the PS4 or Xbox One would have the quality equivalent of the High setting on PC. PC users with adequate configurations can take things one step further, to Ultra.
