On Friday, multiple tornadoes made landfall close to Oklahoma city. While most of these twisters were fairly small and did not cause any significant damage, one of the tornadoes came to be one-mile (1.6 kilometers) wide when at its peak.

Footage of this one-mile wide tornado is available in the video above.

It appears that the twister had multiple vortices, and touched down in Oklahoma City's western suburbs. It later made its way downtown, and eventually turned south.

Sources say that the storm causing these twisters killed a total of 5 people and injured about 50. Of the people killed, 2 were a mother and her daughter.

Their bodies were later found close to a vehicle on Interstate 40.

The storm also packed large hailstones. The areas around the cities of El Reno and Yukon were the ones most affected by the storm.
