There is little doubt that the rhino's horn was chopped off by poachers

Poaching is bad and should be put an end to without delay, conservationists keep telling us. It is a horrific practice, and the people who engage in such activities must be absolutely heartless, they add.

Still, I dare say it takes a video such as the one above to really put things into perspective, and make people understand what it is exactly that greenheads have against poaching.

Huffington Post tells us that this video was shot in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The rhino featured in it was caught on camera just as it was stumbling across a road, and it’s quite obvious that its horn is missing.

According to the people who filmed the animal and then posted the footage online, there is little doubt that the rhino lost its horn after one very close encounter with poachers in the area.

The same source tells us that the video was shot on February 28. A few days later, on March 4, rangers managed to locate the animal, examined it and found that it was walking around with a bullet stuck inside its brain.

Needless to say, the animal was in such poor condition that all that remained was to put it to sleep.

The rangers who found this rhino say that, despite their best efforts, illegal hunters somehow still manage to find their way inside the Krueger National Park, and do not hesitate to shoot at and kill the animals that they find in this region.

Viewer discretion is recommended when watching the video above as it contains images that some people might find disturbing.
