Cats generally don't like water all that much. However, the feline featured in the video above appears to love and adore it, just as long as it’s frozen and not liquid.

The video was posted on YouTube a few days ago, and it has already scored over 570,000 hits.

According to the Sophie's owners, who shared the footage with us ordinary folks, this is the cat's first time experiencing snow.

The video was shot at their home in Alabama, US, and shows the feline first taking a few tentative steps in the snow.

Once it figures out that the white, cold stuff on the ground is kind of fun to run around in, it starts bouncing back and forth across the garden.

As one of the video's viewers points out, the scientific term for a feline that behaves in this manner is lolus catus.

For further clarification, it must be said that this phrase is used to describe cats that have no issues goofing around in front of a camera, and thus manage to bring some joy and entertainment in people's lives.
