Just yesterday – when we also celebrated World Humanitarian Day – singer and worldwide known celebrity Beyonce debuted a new clip for the song 'I Was Here.'

Shown singing in front of a UN audience, the artist wishes to draw attention to how important it is to lend a helping hand to those in need, regardless of how small our contribution might seem to us at first.

Whilst Beyonce shines in the forefront, looking all glamorous in her white gown, a screen behind her displays images of recent natural disasters and other similar tragedies, and of how various human communities were affected by them.

Beyonce's performance is part of a campaign launched by humanitarian organizations in order to determine more people to get involved in shaping out a better society.

As a comment on the song and her performance, Beyonce explained how, “World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care.”
