Thanks to several Hollywood movies, bats have a rather bad reputation amongst people. Still, few can deny the fact that Blossom, the blossom bat (yup, she was named after her species) featured in the video above is annoyingly adorable.

Blossom was rehabilitated by Louise Saunders from the Bat Conservation & Rescue Qld in Australia after being found rather badly injured and shaken up. Louise suspects that the tiny bat had been the victim of a cat attack.

While looking after her, Louise fed the bat a nectar mix and even milk formula. Needless to say, it also got tons of TLC.

After Blossom got back in shape, she was allowed to return to her natural habitat on Macleay Island in Qld, Australia.

“It was the best bat experience of my life without a doubt and the decision to release her was a terrible one for me, but it was the right decision for Blossom. With banana, banksia, melaleuca and eucalypt flowers, and a whole new family to catch up with I'm sure she won't be missing me like I miss her,” Louise said after releasing Blossom in the wild.
