The baby duck and the baby owl featured in the video above are currently living at the Kirkleatham Owl Centre in North East England.

The people in charge of looking after them say that both birds are now just three weeks old, and that they very much enjoy spending time in each other's company.

The baby duck, named Chop-suey, is a white-crested runner duck. Its species is listed as an endangered one, which is why employees of said animal sanctuary are doing their best to make sure that no harm comes to it.

The baby owl, named Larch, it a long-eared owl.

By the looks of it, Chop-suey was the only baby duck that actually hatched after conservationists incubated a total of 12 eggs.

The baby duck was feeling lonely, which is why keepers saw fit to make it spend some time in Larch's company.

“We initially had 12 duck eggs in our incubator, but sadly only the one egg hatched, and although Chop-suey was happy with human company, he was never happy being left alone - so with Larch by himself we put the two together and they instantly snuggled up and fell asleep,” a spokesperson for the Center told the press.
