The daredevil teddy jumped from 39,000 meters (127,953 feet)

Last year, daredevil Felix Baumgartner made history by jumping from a record height in the upper atmosphere. The landmark jump took a lot of preparation and a lot of courage. Baumgartner broke a record that stood for decades and became a world hero.

Who knew that less than a year after his feat the record would be trumped by a much less hyped daredevil named Babbage.

Of course, the fact that Babbage is a teddy bear may have something to do with the discrimination, but that doesn't take anything away from his accomplishment.

He jumped from a dizzying 39,000 meters (127,953 feet) and survived to talk about it. Granted, that's only 31 meters (101 feet) higher than Baumgartner's jump, but a record is a record.

Babbage, willingly of course, was trapped to a weather balloon by balloonist David Akerman along a Raspberry Pi and a camera.
