Assassin's Creed Unity was shown off during the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, and fortunately one of the attendees filmed the live demo that Ubisoft presented.

The 8 minutes of shaky, off-screen gameplay will no doubt feel familiar to long-time fans of the action adventure series, showing the same type of fighting in the city streets, stealth kills, and offering a great view of the streets of Paris.

The video comes from the Xbox One Gaming Lounge, showing Unity running on Microsoft's console, and even though it doesn't reveal anything new when compared to what was showed at this year's edition of the E3 gaming trade show, it's still something to get you going until the game becomes available.

The game takes place during the French Revolution, and the developers attempted to offer a faithful recreation of Paris during that time period, from the architecture and the clothing of the non-playable characters to the general mood of the populace and the dire situation which led to the events of the revolution.

For the first time in the series, players will be able to tackle the objectives of the campaign in cooperative multiplayer, a feature which was only made possible by the power of the next-gen systems that the game is designed to run on.

Assassin's Creed Unity is scheduled to come out on October 28, for the Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
