Those who don't believe in alternative therapies might want to reconsider their position on the matter at hand after learning that an alligator at the Sao Paulo Aquarium in Brazil has decided to resort to acupuncture to treat its back problems.

I mean, alligators are known to be extremely wise creatures, so if one of them says acupuncture is at least worth a try, then it must be true.

Joking aside, it appears that this reptile has an unhealthy curvature of the spine.

Because of this anatomical quirk, the alligator has developed several other medical complications, not to mention the fact that it is in constant pain.

Its caretakers say that, shortly after the reptile had started attending weekly acupuncture sessions, its overall health condition showed signs of improvement.

Here's hoping the reptile will soon feel much better than it did when it began treatment.
