Some people don’t like Chromebooks at all and consider them useless computing pieces. But device makers are ignoring the haters and are focusing on customers who have taken a liking to this inexpensive, light and decent laptops.

And now everybody is making them – HP, Toshiba, Samsung, ASUS, all have Chromebooks running out of their ears. But one company holds the most impressive Chromebook portfolio of all and that is Acer.

Recently, the company has rolled out the industry’s first Chrome OS laptop that takes advantage of a Tegra K1 processor. And before that, Acer wanted to bring a little something to those who felt a Chromebook should be more performant, so it launched an Intel Core i3 model.

Now, Acer goes back to basics with its latest assault over the Chrome OS garden. Its new Chromebook 11 model arrives with an Intel Celeron Bay Trail processor inside, as reported by Notebook Italia.

It’s another Chromebook with an 11.6-inch display, which will be made available in two models. Both will come equipped with 1366 x 768 resolution, but one version will be aimed at the consumer market (CB3-111) while the second will go to the business and educational market (C730).

The laptop takes advantage of either an Intel Celeron N2830 Bay Trail-M processor or a Celeron N2930 one, fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal memory.

Like most Bay Trail laptops on the market today, the device will be able to provide users with a battery life of about 8.5 hours.

Other selling points include the existence of Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, SD card reader, audio jacks, HDMI port.

You also get a teaser video for the Acer Chromebook 11 in anticipation of the product launch. We know the device should become available by the end of September, but it has already been spotted with some retailers in Europe that show a scheduled delivery date set for August.

Pricing revolves around €219 / $292, but when the laptop arrives in the US, it will certainly sell for less.

If Bay Trail is too main stream for you, you might not have to look further than Acer’s garden. Just a few days ago, the company pushed out its Tegra K1-enhanced model which is offered in HD and full HD options.

The lower model with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage is sold for $279 / €208, and if you want the higher-res one, you’ll have to throw in an extra $20 / €15.
