One science enthusiast and self-proclaimed gun expert has set up a YouTube channel trying to make physics entertaining.

In this video uploaded to Destin's SmarterEveryDay YouTube channel, an AK-47 is fired underwater and the moment is relayed in slow motion.

This should demonstrate the basic principles of physics of cavitation, as Destin explains. His previous experiments have dealt with Bernoulli's principle, sonoluminescence and other scientific data.

YouTube celebrities already, the Slow Mo Guys are featured in this clip and they are providing the equipment, know-how and lending a hand in capturing the moment on camera.

The shot is fired in a pool by Destin himself and it is relayed at 27,450 frames per second, which makes the scene quite entrancing. Two high-speed cameras by Vision Research have been used in the making of this video.
