Video game developer BioWare has announced that Mass Effect 3 has gone Gold, meaning that actual game disk are now being printed, and the company has also allowed a lot more video of the game to be released.

The above video is 40-minute long and shows quite a few chunks of gameplay, enough for any fan of the series to get a handle of the kind of experience it will offer.

Mass Effect 3 will also get a full demo via the Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and the PC tomorrow, allowing gamers to play a chunk of the game and make an informed decision about buying it.

The game will tell the story of Commander Shepard and his attempt to stop the Reapers from destroying Earth and taking over the entire Galaxy and the development team has already warned gamers that some of the results of their quest might be surprising.

The full game launches on March 6 in North America and three days later in Europe.
