Every once in a while, it's perfectly OK to do science at home

Unless your name is Dexter and you happen to have an annoying sister named Dee Dee (being a cartoon character also helps), you probably don't have a secret laboratory hidden behind some bookshelves in your bedroom.

The good news is that this does not mean that you can't do science at home. On the contrary, you can have about as much fun as brainiacs working in state-of-the-art facilities do whenever they are busy trying to test one theory or another.

If you are having trouble believing me, just check out the video below and see for yourselves that one can carry out science experiments using nothing but fairly common ingredients and utensils to get a job done.

The video, which made it on YouTube this past August 3, details four science experiments that should not be very difficult to replicate at home. These experiments boil down to making slime or glue at home, turning milk into a rock, and creating colorful patterns in milk.

I don't know about you, but I for one have to admit that I have not yet attempted to carry out either of these experiments. Still, I found them all quite interesting and appealing, and I'm pretty sure that I will give them a try sometime in the near future.
