The newly launched Obamacare websites don't work as planned. Many of them started experiencing issues just hours after the beginning of the enrollment period was announced.

The site of the Washington Health Plan Finder was one of them. However, officials rushed to point out that the disruptions were not caused by hackers.

“There was no one hacking into the system. We did not have any security issues,” Washington Health Benefit Exchange spokesman Michael Marchand told mynorthwest.com.

“If there are too many people trying to get into a specific area at one time, it may create a log-jam there,” he added.

Marchand has also highlighted the fact that no sensitive information is stored on the website.

On the other hand, no one has come forward to deny that the disruption suffered by the New York Obamacare website isn’t the work of cybercriminals. The site recorded 10 million visits in the first hours, despite the fact that only 1.1 million people should be looking for health insurance.
