Archos is about to make its American fans happy, as the company decided it's time to send some 105 mini media players to the US.

For the ones who are not familiar with the device, it belongs to the fifth generation of players. On the outside it looks like a sleek and stylish device and is only 7 mm thick. It reveals a 1.8" OLED color screen to view the integrated data.

Besides being known as the ultra mini MP3 player from Archos, the item comes packed with 2GB of storage capacity for video, music and photo content. Regarding the player's capabilities, it can easily deal with most of the file formats available on the market, such as protected WMA, WAV, WMA, PCM and Mp3.

As most of the Archos players, this one also features a user-friendly ARCLIBRARY option that allows users to find, play and sort files easily. The built-in screen not only brightens the image but also keeps the power consumption at 18 hours for the audio, using an internal rechargeable battery.

The decision to ship the players in the US shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, giving the unexpected success the company registered on the market. The actual shipments have already begun on Amazon, where the devices are being sold in various color versions such as black, gray and red color.

The price tag seems to be a really convenient one, starting from 90 bucks a pop. Not to mention the Archos representatives claim that the player can be loaded with media content from either Macs or Windows PCs.

The dimensions of the 105 device are 1.8 x 3.3 x 0.3 inches, with a mere 1.8-ounce light weight, meaning it can be extremely portable. All in all, as Archos is known as a respected manufacturer in industry, the introducing of the fifth generation on the American market could take its media players to higher levels.
