Warner Bros. has confirmed that it is working on a biopic of controversial technology pioneer John McAfee, who has spent years on the run, and fascinated and intrigued millions with his conspiracy stories.

For the time being, The Guardian informs, the project is still in its early development stages, but that’s not stopping movie buffs from speculating on who would best do justice to the role.

Of the names being thrown around in the blogosphere as we speak, we have Mickey Rourke, Gary Busey, Rob Lowe or Robert Downey Jr.

If I were to choose, I’d choose RDJ because he is both famous enough to carry the film on his own and “crazy” enough to relate to such an intense character.

“John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, who are known for the offbeat true life tale I Love You Phillip Morris, are due to write and direct the film. The pair are also the duo behind Bad Santa and Crazy, Stupid, Love,” The Guardian reports.
