Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive, part of the Warner Bros. Entertainment consortium, stated that it has hired a new president in the person of Martin Tremblay, who has previous experience as president of Vivendi Worldwide Studios and, before that, as head of the Ubisoft Montreal game studio.

The main task of the new president will be to work together with the board and other persons in key management positions to make sure that the company develops a strong presence in the long term in the field of the multimedia entertainment industry.

Maybe the most important moment in Martin Tremblay's career was the way he oversaw the growth of the Montreal game studio owned by Ubisoft. The studio went, over a relatively short time span, from employing around 300 people to employing more than 1,500 artists, programmers, designers and other personnel. It is now seen as the most important development studio Ubisoft has, in charge of creating innovative and outstanding AAA titles for the French publisher.

Kevin Tsujihara, president of Warner Bros. Entertainment, talked about the new president as being a "talented, highly respected executive," who also enjoys "solid relationships across the industry". As Warner Brothers tries to break into the now very lucrative videogame market, Tremblay seems like the man who can offer the most experience in management, combined with the most knowledge of the industry itself.

Tremblay also said about the move that "Warner Bros. has been creating, licensing and publishing some of the best in class interactive entertainment out there today. I look forward to working with the team of talented and creative people at WBIE to expand on the great work they are already doing".

Warner Bros. has an ongoing partnership with SCi regarding games production and distribution. It is yet unknown how the new move would affect this partnership.
