14 DAY TRIAL // When Warmachine: Tactics was successfully funded on Kickstarter back in August 2013, fans thought this would be an amazing game. An adaptation of the Warmachine tabletop game, today's Steam daily deal is a bit controversial.
While lots of Kickstarter supporters don't think developer WhiteMoon Dreams managed to get the feeling of the original tabletop game into the PC version.
Moreover, lots of reviewers on Steam claim Warmachine: Tactics is still badly optimized after a few months of being fully released on Valve's digital distribution store.
Warmachine: Tactics was firstly launched on Steam Early Access and received some patches, but they didn't seem to fix any of the issues that most players have been complaining.
On top of that, Warmachine: Tactics costs €29.81 on Steam and has no less than 16 additional DLCs, which can be purchased for various amounts. The cheapest is available for €1.99, while the most expensive can be acquired for €19.99.

Some of these DLCs are on sale for the next 48 hours as well, but if you just want the game, then Warmachine: Tactics is available for €17.88, which is 40% off the original price.
The game comes with both single and multiplayer modes. This is a turn-based tactical strategy game in which players take control of an elite battle mage known as warcaster and his army of warjacks and soldiers.
Warmachine: Tactics is built in Unreal 4 Engine and while the animations are quite decent, the optimization seems to be atrocious if we are to believe the latest reviews posted by those who recently played the game.
All in all, Warmachine: Tactics might improve over time as developers do seem to continue to support the game with regular patches. Unfortunately, there's no telling how long it will take until real improvements will be delivered. Hopefully, that will come sooner rather than later.
