Warlock 2: The Exiled is getting ready to ship, as publisher Paradox Interactive has announced the turn-based strategy's release date to be April 10.

The game is a sequel to the 2011 fantasy wargame of the same name and will be released on PC, with Steam users also being able to add Ino Co's creation to their libraries, with pre-orders scheduled to open up sometime around March 20.

The launch date announcement was made through Warlock's Twitter, prompting fans of the hex-based turn-based strategy game to try and finish their Europa Universalis 4 campaigns in time for the new title.

Players will have to battle over the control of various worlds, in the never-ending quest to conquer more and more hexagonal spaces. They will be able to choose from over 12 different mages and employ an arsenal of over 170 spells to smash their enemies to smithereens.

The shards of Ardania are up for grabs for the mightiest spell slinger, and the game offers the classic Master of the Arcane mode as well as an all-new Exile mode, complete with a multiplayer experience on par with the robust and sprawling single-player one, that includes PvP, co-op PvE and many various modes.
