WarioWare D.I.Y., also known as WarioWare: Do It Yourself, in PAL regions like Europe, is a video game made by Nintendo's SPD Group No. 1 in collaboration with Intelligent Systems, and published by the company itself only for the Nintendo DS portable console.
It was released on April 29, 2009, in its native Japan, March 28, 2010, in North America, and April 30, that same year, in Europe, being the seventh game in the long-running series which spanned multiple Nintendo portable consoles.
While previous WarioWare titles allowed gamers to engage in a number of different mini-games that used various tricks and gimmicks that were enabled by the unique features of the respective platforms, WarioWare D.I.Y., like its name suggests, allows gamers to design their own activities and mini-games.
With the help of the virtual Super MakerMatic 21, a unique device that lets you design your own sorts of activities, but also create music or black and white comics, players can let their imagination run free and create all sorts of adventures.
The mini-games that result from the activity can be experienced on your own, but can also be shared with friends, through the Nintendo DS' wireless connection to other DS units or even the Wii home console.
In order to get the mini-games to appear on the Wii, owners of the home console need to download a special WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase application from the WiiWare online service, which not only lets you experience the activities, but also unlock things like a versus mode and lots of other features.
