All the nostalgic gamers in Europe will be very happy to hear that one of their favorite characters of all times, Wario, will come back for a new session of gaming experience, thanks to Nintendo which officially announced the release date: September 26, 2008. The game, named Wario Land: The Shake Dimension, will be a Wii-only classic adventure title which will use the motion sensing capabilities of the Wiimote in order to offer us a great time.

Basically, in this traditional 2D platform adventure, you'll have the goal to seek out treasures and defeat your enemies while getting as much money as possible along the way. Nintendo will bring its fans a new cast of characters to join Wario in a story we already know from all the Mario-like games: evil pirate leader Shake King has kidnapped Queen Merelda and our hero must save her. Of course, the fact that the pirates have the "Bottomless Coin Sack" - a sack that never runs out of gold - is an extra reason for Wario to embark on this quest.

The game will offer to its players only five maps and different missions or challenges which generally have one thing in common: get as many coins as possible. Further stages and hidden treasures can also be found or unlocked during gameplay.

Some control methods will be similar to what you got in Super Mario Galaxy (for example, you'll have to shake the Wiimore to make Wario unleash his Ground Punch super move). Also, a few other motion sensitive moves will be accepted by the game, such as shaking the remote while holding enemies or bags in order to get all the items on them and tilting the Wii controller to steer the various vehicles available in the game.

But all these are of lesser importance - the only thing that matters now is that Wario's coming back and we don't get Nintendo's usual moneymaking strategies (fill a game with all the iconic characters of the company). It will probably be a good title, too - it's a 2D platform title and you already know everything about the genre since the 80s.
