Back in 2013, developers Rodeo Games and Games Workshop released their first game together in the Warhammer universe, Warhammer Quest. The game was released on iOS platform and now, more than a year later, it will make the jump on PC.

In fact, according to independent publisher Chilled Mouse, the game will be released on Windows PC, Mac and Linux via Steam digital distribution service.

Warhammer Quest is already available for pre-order on Steam, but it will be launched on January 7, 2015, less than a month from now.

Unlike the iOS version, which received a few addons after the release of the basic game, Warhammer Quest will include three areas, as well as the Vampire and Zombie content pack at £10.99 / €14.99.

For Warhammer fans, the publisher also offers a Deluxe edition, priced at £19.99 / €27.99 / $29.99, which includes all of the in-game content available in the standard edition plus more than £19 /  €25 / $27 of additional extras.

The game is based on Games Workshop board game, and as many of you probably have guessed by now, set in the Warhammer Fantasy world.

The turn-based strategy game is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe

Warhammer Quest is a turn-based strategy game, which allows players to control a team of heroes and explore hidden dungeons around the borders of the Empire. The game features elements of adventure, strategy and role-playing, so there’s a little bit for everyone.

We have already published our Warhammer Quest review for iOS, so if you want to know a bit about the game, you might want to take a look at the article.

Keep in mind that the PC port might have a few extras, which haven’t been highlighted in our original review, but overall, you should be able to get an idea of the game’s mechanics.

Just like in most Warhammer games, players will take the lead of a party of adventurers and delve into dangerous dungeons of the Warhammer world with the sole purpose of gaining wealth and glory.

In your adventures, you will be facing evil Night Goblins, dangerous Orcs, gigantic River Trolls and hordes of the evil Skaven.

“As massive fans of the Warhammer universe, we have spent our development time working with Rodeo Games and focusing on what made Warhammer Quest such a great table top game.

“With truly unique hero characters, epic role-playing action, awesome loot and randomly generated dungeons, Warhammer Quest is a true digital incarnation of its namesake,” said Ian Baverstock, director of Chilled Mouse.
