Games Workshop and developer HeroCraft announce that they are working together on a new licensed title based on Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, which will use card game and turn-based mechanics.

Players will be able to build a deck of cards based on the fictional universe, and each item will be simulated in full 3D when actual battles take place, according to Eurogamer.

Each player will get a hand of five or six cards and one can pick two of them to play, featuring attacks, powers or units.

HeroCraft has a history creating social-powered games, so it’s likely that their new project will also seek to get players to interact with each other.

The new Warhammer 40,000 is set to launch at some point in 2014 on the PC and devices using iOS and Android.

Full Control has recently launched a video game version of Space Hulk, for which we have a full review on Softpedia.
