Wargame: Red Dragon, a real time strategy developed by Eugen Systems and published Focus Home Interactive, will be released on the Steam for Linux on April 17.

The developers from Eugen Systems have been very friendly towards the Linux platform and they have already ported Wargame: European Escalation and Wargame: Airland Battle, so this is not actually a surprise.

“The Wargame series returns to duty, larger, richer and more spectacular than ever before. In Wargame Red Dragon, you are engaged in a large-scale conflict where Western forces clash against the Communist bloc. It’s 1991 and the two blocs confront each other in a new theater of war, Asia, joined by various other countries: Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand,” reads the official synopsis of the game.

The information about the Linux version is taken from the Steam database and by no means is it completely certain. The Steam Database is a record of data that describes every Steam game and subscription provided by Valve for the Steam service.

Usually, the new entries are first visible in the Steam Database before their official launch.

Wargame: Red Dragon also benefit from a 25% discount that will probably end when the game launched on April 17.
