The PlayStation 4 has managed to get another free-to-play game in its portfolio, as Digital Extremes has confirmed that it's going to debut its Warframe title on the PS4 at the console's launch.

Warframe is currently in beta on the PC platform, and now developer Digital Extremes has confirmed that it's going to debut the title at the PlayStation 4's launch.

According to an IGN interview with the studio's Steve Sinclair, Sony approached Digital Extremes to get Warframe on the PS4 and has had a deeply supportive relationship with the independent developer.

What's more, seeing as how it doesn't require a publisher to get a game on the PS4, unlike Microsoft's stance with the Xbox 720, the game will only appear on the Sony next-gen console.

Sinclair also confirmed that Warframe will take full advantage of the console's power and the features of its DualShock 4 controller, including the touchpad.

Warframe fans can expect to hear more about the game's PS4 edition next week, at E3 2013.
