Crytek has confirmed that it's going to bring its Warface free-to-play first-person shooter into open beta on October 21, allowing anyone with an account to get in on the multiplayer action.

Warface is the first step in Crytek's big push towards free-to-play, as the online shooter is already quite popular in Russia and other parts of the world.

At that time, anyone with an account on the official website will be able to download the game's client and start playing the online shooter.
