The teams at Legendary Pictures and Universal working on the new Warcraft movie are delaying its release date to March 11, 2016, a move that seems designed to make sure that it does not face competition from the new Star Wars series.

The film was originally set to be launched in theaters on December 18 of 2015.

Lothar and Durotan are the characters that will power the story of the movie and the team at Blizzard that's consulting on its creation says that it will use the perspective of both the orc and the human factions.

The Warcraft movie is designed to show the core values of the video game universe and introduce spectators to its central conflict, according to Polygon.

Draenor, Dalaran, Stormwind and Ironforge are locations that will be visited and more information about the script will be offered in the coming year.
