Video game developer and publisher Paradox Interactive has announced that, after the strong initial sales performance of War of the Roses, it has made it an official franchise in its catalog, with a separate development team lead by executive producer Gordon Van Dyke.

The new team leader stated, “There is no doubt that War of the Roses has been an ambitious project for us.”

He added, “The game’s reception from players has exceeded expectations and we are truly grateful for the continued support from the community. We’ll continue to improve the game and add substantial content for all players.”

To celebrate the successful launch, Paradox is also running a new screenshots contest for War of the Roses.

The two winners will get access to a 32-player private server for three months and will also get five copies of the game.

In order to get more information on the contest, gamers need to visit the official Facebook page.
